Track Queen Testimonial

I am Paul Loy of Loy Farms in Central Nebraska. Our primary crop consists of over 400 acres Alfalfa and Alfalfa/Orchard grass mix under pivots. Our soils range from sandy to clay and after being in constant Alfalfa for several years and then with a five year drought, the pivot tracks were getting pretty deep.

I bought a Track Queen in 2005 and have been well pleased with it. We all know that the dirt from a pivot track does not leave on the level, but just gets pushed to the side. I only needed something that would move the dirt back into the track without leaving ditches on the sides to contend with and would fill the tracks quickly and easily without tearing out the alfalfa.

When I first saw the Track Queen, I knew I had found the right tool. The Track Queen is easily mounted in a matter of a couple minutes with no modifications to the tractor.

It has met every expectation with the exception of the hilly areas. On the flat, the tracks were about 4 to 8 inches deep and filled with one pass but on the inclines, the dirt was gone and the ruts were twice as deep.  I have found that a maximum of three passes will fill almost all of those problem areas and still not tear out the alfalfa or leave ditches along each side of the tracks. We have a New Holland Disk windrower and I can again travel 12 to 13 MPH and not tear up our equipment crossing filled or unfilled tracks.
